  • How safe would it be to switch? - General

I got 0.3.0 running this past weekend and am having a blast with it. Now I think I made a big mistake by not going with the unstable. Would it be better to wait for 0.4.0 or should I bite the bullet and switch? Are there any tools in the unstable to do the database magic?

At this stage in the development (I'm only involved in bug fixing, not the actual development) I would say that unless you want to be manually hacking yoru database to just wait for 0.4.0 final... b/c the database changes fairly often, and if you upgrade now, then when 0.4.0 comes out you will have to uprade again.

I should add that these is, and will be a tool to switch, from 0.3.0 to 0.4.0, as well as right now from 0.3.0 to the unstable, but there isn't, and won't be one from unstable to 0.4.0 b/c the database is changing all the time...
