  • Upgrading from the 'ANCIENT' 0.2.3 - General
Posted by Admin Foo (Tuesday August 08 2000 @ 10:43PM EDT) views: 165
First off, mad props to the dev team. My users love phpWebLog.
I really wanna upgrade to 0.3.0. The install procedures have excellent instructions for upgrading the db from 0.2.4 to 0.3.0, diff files and everything. What about 0.2.3? The 0.2.4 install file doesn't mention anything about how to upgrade the db from 0.2.3 to 0.2.4. If anyone can straighten me out, I'd appreciate it.
    Keep up the excellent work!

Thanks! I'll pass on the words to my other personalities. =]
Upgrading from 0.2.3 may be very unpredictable. I've never tried this, but it may be possible using the etc/0.2.3_0.2.4.sql script included with the 0.3.0 tarball. If that all goes well, then upgrade again to 0.3.0. You really will want to make a backup of your database first if you do not want to lose it.

    hope this helps...

*grin* I guess I never realized it was a one man band :)

Oh yeah, I guess I should have also bothered to look in the etc directory too. I hate it when I sound like a luser.

    Thanks Jason.
