    I think everything looks a lot nicer with the
    following substitution made to parser.inc.php:

    // DO NOT APPEND 's!!!!
    > // $ostring=nl2br($ostring);

    I made the same change to the parser on my system.
    That line adds too much extra space (especially if you are pasting html tables in your stories.)

    However, this change only really benefits when full HTML is allowed. If you are using reduced HTML, then you want the breaks inserted.
