  • Random tag lines - General

Would it be possible to add a system of randomly changing the tag lines, say once a day, maybe reading them from a csv file, or possibly from the database. I would like it to be something like the memepool, maybe, as in embeded in the header file.

I got my site to do this. The code I used for my site (which I wrote, before I switched to phpweblog) previously did this, and all my taglines are in a table in the database. I wrote a script that runs via cron and changes the row in the config table that holds the tagline--unfortunately, this means it doesn't change more than once a minute; previously, it was different on each reload. I'd like to change the php code to read one out of the database directly, but I'm still coming up to speed on PHP.

You can fetch one row out of the database randomly. In your SQL statement, you can use RAND()
