  • PHP 4.0.3pl1 Heads Up - General

Just so you know, PHP 4.0.3pl1 has a bug in the function fsockopen(). The last time I looked, PHPWebLog uses that fuction to grab RDF or HTML pages. If you are using PHP 4.0.3pl1 you may not be able to open the socket to get the remote pages.

I've reported this to PHP but haven't heard back from them. Earlier versions of PHP 4 worked fine.

I installed it this morning and it's working fine
for devel and the production site.

interesting. i wonder if it's some linking problems with -lc for fsockopen on my NetBSD OS.

I just recompiled it with the explicit -lc flag for LIBS env variable, apachectl stop, apachectl start and it seems to be working again.
